What we do when we should be studying
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Packing up my summer dorm :( I found all the bags for all the shopping I did this summer. With all that, plus bus tickets, food, gas, and online shopping, I’m surprised I saved any money at all. Maybe I need a new mode of therapy?
This is the coolest mashup I’ve ever seen. I want one of those things!

Fooling around in Ikea. It was fun and I get in trouble in one part!

The rights to this would be soo expensive but I would most definitely watch this and secretly love it.

Vid A Week #1 - Skullcrusher Mountain
Skullcrusher Mountain was an easy pick for the first of what will hopefully be a series of ten Jonathan Coulton music videos. It encapsulates everything he’s known for - humor, with an undercurrent of sadness and a decidedly nerdy bent.
When I told people I was going to make this music video with action figures, they all assumed I meant I was going to use stop motion (I am an animator after all). That was never part of the plan, though. I think there’s something decidedly charming about a young boy who still acts out his fantasies through his action figures.
Dedicated comic book fans such as myself will recognize Superwoman Lois Lane from the excellent All Star Superman by Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly, along with a more mainstream Lex Luthor, Superman, and Gray Hulk. The boy in the video is my little brother Jonathan, who also contributed to the brainstorming process and came up with some of my favorite moments in the video (such as “maybe I used too many monkeys”).
Stay tuned! A new music video will be here same time next week, plus more behind the scenes info on how we made this one in the time until then.
